Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to afterlife. The use of our services implies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. We invite you to read them carefully, as they regulate the relationship between you (the User) and afterlife (the Provider).

1. Our service & care

afterlife provides a platform for the creation, preservation, and deferred delivery of multimedia content (videos, audio, photos, text). The service includes:

  • Digital identity custody.

  • Professional recording services (in-office or at home).

  • Scheduled delivery via digital channels (Email, WhatsApp, Telegram, WeTransfer).

  • Creation and shipping of customized physical media (USB, CD, DVD, Blu-ray).

2. Registration and Account Responsibility

The user agrees to provide truthful data and keep contact information updated, especially details regarding Guardians (the people designated to notify us when it is time to deliver). The user is solely responsible for the content uploaded. It is forbidden to use the service for illegal, offensive purposes, or in ways that violate third-party rights.

3. Content Ownership and Privacy

All uploaded content remains the exclusive property of the User. afterlife acts solely as a Digital Custodian.

  • Privacy: We are committed to protecting data with advanced encryption systems. No member of the Afterlife staff will view private content without explicit technical consent or legal necessity.

  • Security: While we adopt the best protection technologies, the user acknowledges that no digital system is 100% invulnerable.

4. Delivery Methods and

"The Guardian"

Message delivery takes place according to the scheduled dates or upon notification by the Guardian appointed by the User. Afterlife cannot be held responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect contact details of the recipients or failure of the Guardian to notify us.

5. Costs and Payments

  • First Delivery: The first digital video message is offered free of charge for a limited time, or until our server storage capacity is reached.

  • Management Fees: To ensure long-term preservation and server security, afterlife requires the payment of management costs clearly indicated in the price list.

  • Sustainability: afterlife reserves the right to modify the business model in the future (e.g., introducing ethical advertising) to aim toward making the service free of charge, upon prior notification to users.

6. Physical Services and Gifts (Roadmap)

For the shipping of physical media or gifts, Afterlife uses third-party couriers. Responsibility for delivery transfers to the carrier at the time of shipment. Any graphic customization of physical media will be agreed upon in advance with the User.

7. Future Technologies and Artificial Intelligence

The user acknowledges that any creation of an "interactive digital presence" via AI will be activated solely and exclusively upon specific, written consent from the User or their legitimate heirs, and will be governed by a specific addendum on ethical conditions.

8. Investments and Cryptocurrencies

Features related to time-locked investments (crypto/stocks) included in our long-term vision will be subject to the financial and tax regulations in force at the time of launch. Afterlife specifies that such options will be provided exclusively in collaboration with authorized credit institutions and/or specialized financial advisors officially registered in credit brokerage registries. Afterlife does not provide direct financial advice; the user acknowledges that risks associated with market volatility remain their own responsibility.

9. Withdrawal and Account Termination

The User can request the deletion of their data at any time. In the event of account termination, Afterlife will permanently delete content from its servers within the technical timeframe required by law, unless retained due to tax or legal obligations.

10. Limitation of Liability

afterlife makes every effort to ensure service continuity for decades. However, it cannot be held responsible for interruptions due to force majeure, failure of global network infrastructure, or drastic changes in international legislation.
